Climateimagination LLC
ClimateImagination is a Limited Liability Company owned and operated by Dave Brauer-Rieke. Dave began the company after serving 12 years as the bishop of the Oregon Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. He brought from that work a passion for the environment and a clear concern for the well-being of our planet. ClimateImagination LLC was developed for the purposes of education, advocacy and consultation around issues of Climate Change.
ClimateImagination offers a variety of services, including:
  • Consultation to a variety of faith bodies around Climate concerns and their impact on the world;
  • Preaching, teaching, and worship leadership for community gathersings, retreats or education events;
  • Resourcing and networking to services not offered by ClimateImagination;
  • Cirriculum design for event planning.

ClimateImagination LLC is currently under contract with Lutheran Disaster Response, a ministry of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Together Lutheran Disaster Response and ClimateImagination LLC are engaged in Disaster Preparedness and Response consultation throughout the states of Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana.

Lutheran Disaster Response feels a moral obligation to help build needed capacity to meet the challenges ahead.

The Pacific Northwest has not been a region of significant natural hazards in recent memory. However, predictions of a major Cascadia Subduction Zone event along with significant increases in wildfires and flooding, apparently due to Climate Change, has disaster preparedness peoples’ attendion. Lutheran Disaster Response feels a moral obligation to help build needed capacity to meet the challenges ahead.
